Overview of ELV Mechanical Failure

Electronic Steering Column Lock (ELV) failure is a common issue in PSA vehicles, often resulting in the car failing to start even with a fully functional key. Ordinarily, resolving this issue would require installing a new ESCL unit and programming it into the vehicle, an expensive and time-consuming process.

Instead, the PSA Steering Lock Emulator provides an economical alternative. This emulator bypasses the malfunctioning ESCL unit, enabling the vehicle to start without the need for complex installations or dealer programming.

Features and Compatibility

• Plug & Play: No programming required; simply plug it in, and the emulator is ready to function.
• Compatible Models: Supports PSA models equipped with ESCL and FT-CAN from 2011 and up.
• Error Indicator: If there?s an error, the emulator?s red LED will blink, which can be cleared with a diagnostic tool.

Installation Instructions

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Connect the ESL plug to the emulator.
3. Start the engine: When you push the start button, the green LED will light up, indicating successful connection. If the red LED blinks, an error needs to be cleared using a diagnostic tool.
