Steering Lock Emulator for Volkswagen VW B6 / B7 Passat 48 / 46 Transponder

Note: Programming is required and must be done with the Volkswagen Passat B6 Emulator Connection Adapter.
It must be connected to the old original ESL first, and can be removed once programming is complete. Once successfully programmed, the vehicle?s immobilizer system (IMMO) will be disabled.

Steering lock failure is one of the most common problems in Volkswagen Passat (B6/B7) models. The authorized service must order a new steering lock and program it, which is a high-cost and time-consuming process.

The Electronic Steering Lock VW Emulator resolves the steering lock failure. The steering lock can be bypassed with the Universal VW ESL ELV Steering Lock Emulator.

It covers models of VW Passat vehicles from 2006-2014. It emulates the electronic steering lock module. It replaces both the steering lock module and the Megamos-48 / 46 keys with a key reader (base station). Before use, IMMODATA, ESL_ID, and KEY_ID information must be stored. Side effect: The car can be started with any blank key that fits the key slot, without a valid transponder key.

Volkswagen VW Emulator Notes:

• The vehicle will not work if the steering lock is faulty.

• The key must be removed from the ignition slot before removing the comfort module.

Volkswagen VW Emulator Installation:

1. Remove the comfort module located in front of the front passenger seat.

2. Follow the simple steps to program and run:

   • Read the ST-M95320 EEPROM with any supporting device (VVDI Prog, Orange 5, etc.).

   • Save the EEPROM?s dump file and write it to the emulator?s EEPROM.

3. Synchronize with the original ELV emulator using the M4-8007 connection adapter.

4. After connecting the OBD plug to the original ELV emulator,;

   • Red and green lights will blink for 2-3 minutes, and then only the green light will stay on.

5. The original ELV is no longer necessary; the M4KEY emulator can be installed in its place.

6. Reinstall the comfort module.

7. The vehicle will now work successfully.

Important Note

1- Megamos 48 Transponder Type:
After connecting the emulator, the vehicle will be IMMO OFF and new keys can be programmed via the comfort module.

2- Proximity Remote Key; 46 Transponder Type:
After applying the emulator, the vehicle will be IMMO OFF, but new key programming will not be possible until the original steering lock is reinstalled.
